CANDIDATE STATEMENT
I will work hard to make Roseville a better place for everyone. It's a great place to live and raise a family. My children attend Roseville's excellent public schools. But we're facing real challenges and need new ideas and committed leadership to tackle these issues.
My commitment has been shown during 10 years of community leadership. I worked on the Public Utilities Commission where I fought to maintain clean, reliable water and keep Roseville's electricity rates low.
As a Planning Commissioner, I worked on the Galleria expansion and the Fountains, giving Roseville the best shopping and restaurants around--and generating significant tax dollars for vital programs. And, I've worked hard to cut traffic congestion and revitalize downtown.
The economy is still struggling, so I'll continue to oppose higher taxes or fees on families or businesses. I'll work to cut red tape so businesses can succeed and create jobs. And, I'll fight to ensure police and firefighters have the resources they need to protect our neighborhoods and families.
Sam Cannon: Commitment. Trusted. Involved.
