CANDIDATE FOR THE OFFICE OF
Lakeside Fire Protection District, Director
CANDIDATE PARTY
Non-partisan
ELECTION
November 2, 2010 California General Election
CANDIDATE STATEMENT
As a Lakeside Fire Protection District Director, I promise to represent the taxpaying citizens instead of special interests.
The district is facing a $800,000 plus budget shortfall this year and is expected to face upwards of $1.5 million shortfall in the next three years by some estimates.
I have build a strong, local business and understand how to manage a budget.
I believe that resources must go to FIRE PREVENTION, which is ultimately less costly than fire suppression. I support community involvement in achieving our goals, including strong support for Firesafe Councils and CERT.
As the co-founder of the East County Community Action Coalition, I will be sure to keep a watchful eye on SDG&E and the Sunrise Powerlink as it relates to fire prevention and the fire risks in our district. SDG&E should financially cover ALL of the additional costs in our community to address the increased risks.
I ask for your support. Thank you!
